Minnesota Severe Weather Awareness Week: Today’s highlighted topic is “Tornadoes”
Minnesota Severe Weather Awareness Week is April 21-25, 2014. This year’s focus is “What if…?”. MSUM Public Safety will be supporting this state wide effort to educate the public by assisting Minnesota Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the National Weather Service in reaching out to the public on a different topic each day of this week. MSUM Public Safety encourages the MSUM Community to think about “What if….” scenarios this week and what you would do if confronted with a severe weather emergency. Thursday’s highlighted topic is “Tornadoes”. The sirens in Moorhead will be activated at 1:45 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. today to allow the public to practice their sheltering plans.
