Congratulations to the Dragon Leadership Program Graduates

Minnesota State University Moorhead proudly graduated the second class of the Dragon Leadership Program on Wednesday, April 16. With over 75 participants, the program is designed to provide Dragon students the opportunity to develop leadership skills. Focused around deliberate and meaningful collaborations among campus departments, the DLP provides a formal structure for students to actively engage and develop as leaders.

Chris Johnson, executive director of the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, was the keynote speaker. The 2002 MSUM alum connected key concepts from his leadership experiences to the social change leadership model. His observation included the idea that change has to be based on need, collaboration is vital and the metric for success is the evidence of change.

After the keynote, program participants were recognized for completion of either phase 1,2, or 3. Graduating students were presented with the Dragon Leadership Medal to be worn as official graduation regalia. The 2014 class included:
