Alum Interns with the Smithsonian American Art Museum

Joshua Gates, Political Science Cum Laude, Spring 2013, landed a prestigious summer internship with the Curatorial Office of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, working with the museum’s exhibitions, acquisitions, and the national collection. This fall he’ll attend the University of (Newark) Delaware to pursue a master’s degree in historic preservation and a certificate in museum studies.

Gates credits several professors across campus departments for fostering his personal and professional growth through encouragement and guidance. “Had I not attended MSUM, quite frankly, I do not know what I would be doing.”
