Brad Bachmeier displays work in exhibit “Vast & Grounded”
Ceramic Artist Brad Bachmeier, professor of Art & Design, displays work at the Bismarck Arts and Galleries Association in the exhibit “Vast & Grounded” with painter Michael Dunn.
The exhibit focuses on the artists intersecting themes, colors and subject matter having to do with the Northern Prairie. Much of Bachmeier’s work was recently created during his time as an artist in residence at Lewis and Clark State Park and highlights the physical and geological properties of both rock and clay as materials. Michael Dunn’s paintings showcase a commitment to depicting northern landscapes through minimalist abstraction.
The exhibit is sponsored by the Dakota West Arts Council, The Thomas and Frances Leach Foundation and the North Dakota Council on the Arts.
