Encourage students to take the NSSE
Faculty, please do what you can to encourage students to take the NSSE. We are currently at a 25% response rate and would like it to be higher. Giving a reminder in your classes can have a huge impact on whether or not students participate. Only students who had received an email reminder are eligible (freshmen and seniors).
Also remember to take the faculty version of the survey, the FSSE. You would have received email reminders on that. We will compare answers between the FSSE & NSSE to see if faculty expectations are in alignment with what students are reporting.
Here’s the message that went out again to remind students:
Respond to the NSSE to get your name in drawing for an iPad mini. The deadline is May 1.
MSUM is currently administering the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) to freshmen and seniors.
The NSSE survey allows students to give feedback on:
What they do on campus
What they like and don’t like about MSUM
Relationships with faculty, staff and other students
What they’ve gained from attending MSUM
The online survey not only improves curriculum and campus life but students can also have a chance to win an iPad mini, MSUM padfolio, sweatshirt or book rental.
The survey takes 15 minutes. NSSE gives students a safe, confidential opportunity to tell MSUM about their educational experience.
