Open forums for the Director of Learning Communities
The Learning Communities search committee would like to invite the campus community to attend three open forums next week for the Director of Learning Communities position.
Hannah Severtson’s open forum will be held Monday, Feb. 25, at 2:15 p.m. in CMU 207. Severtson currently serves as a Hall Director at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition to her work with learning communities in her current position, she has also worked with learning communities of a variety of academic and content themes at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and Ball State University. She has a BA in Political Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Student Affairs Administration from Ball State University.
Steve Fox’s open forum will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 1:30 p.m. in CMU 208. Fox is currently an Area Director here at MSUM, where he has lead training sessions with Dragon Mentors and has fostered support of the learning communities from within the Department of Housing and Residential Life. He has previously served as the Academic Programming Coordinator for the Maverick Mentor program at MSU-Mankato. Fox has a BS in Natural History from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and an MS in Counseling and Student Personnel from MSU-Mankato.
Kenneth White’s open forum will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 10:30 a.m. in CMU 207. White recently served as an Area Director at MSU-Mankato, providing leadership to the Maverick Mentor program. Prior to this position, he worked with a variety of themed learning communities as a Hall Director at the University of New Hampshire. He has a Bachelor of Recreation Management from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, and an MS in Educational Leadership from MSU-Mankato.
