Avery Vollmers and Jana Kaczynski, members of Moorhead’s student organization NSSLHA/Collegiate Sertoma, which focuses on speech-language pathology and audiology, discussed the Celebrate Sound Walk on WDAY Radio on Tuesday. The walk aims to raise awareness about hearing loss while supporting student scholarships and charitable giving.

Kaczynski, president of the campus organization, said the idea for the walk developed through a partnership with the Fargo-Moorhead Sertoma Club.

“I was the one who originally kind of got this going after connecting with our FM Sertoma Group here in Fargo-Moorhead,” Kaczynski said. “And hopefully this can be an event that we have annually,” she said.
