Health Management Leadership Students Participate in Tour and Panel Discussion at Essentia Health

Students from Health Management Leadership (HML), Social Work, and Nursing who are taking HML classes recently participated in a tour and panel discussion at Essentia Health, organized by HML faculty member Seon Lee. The experience provided students with an opportunity to engage directly with healthcare professionals and learn about the collaborative nature of healthcare delivery outside the classroom.

The panel featured a surgeon, nurse anesthetist, process engineer, nurse manager, and administrator, offering students perspectives from a variety of healthcare roles. Students actively participated throughout the morning, asking thoughtful questions and gaining insight into how different professionals work together to provide quality patient care.

Experiential learning opportunities such as this help connect academic coursework to real-world healthcare environments while fostering collaboration among students from different disciplines. The visit was well received by both students and Essentia Health staff, who expressed enthusiasm for continuing the partnership.

Special recognition goes to Seon Lee for coordinating the event and helping create this valuable learning experience for our students.
