Dr. Wooyang Kim to join VOICES for AAPI webinar on AI and career readiness
Dr. Wooyang Kim (Professor of Marketing, Paseka School of Business) has been invited to join a VOICES for AAPI webinar, The Human Edge: Navigating Your Comms Career in the Age of AI, on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 4 to 5 p.m. CT.
The webinar is supported by Bill Imada, Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Connectivity Officer at IW Group, an award-winning multicultural marketing and advertising agency. Dr. Kim also serves as a Civic Advisor for the National Millennials & Gen Z Community, where he has worked to connect students with professionals nationwide and expand professional engagement opportunities.
The conversation will address how young professionals can build AI literacy and job readiness while considering the gap between administrative perspectives on AI adoption and employees’ practical use. Panelists will also discuss what AI can and cannot automate and how human judgment, agency, and relationships remain central in an AI-equipped workplace.
The webinar will feature two other marketing professors: Dr. Samit Chakravorti at Western Illinois University and Dr. Sydney Chinchanachokchai at the University of Akron.
The moderator will be Ms. Patricia Ratulangi, Co-Founder of VOICES for AAPI and former Vice President of Global Communications at Nielsen.
