MSUM Counseling Services Leadership Update

Beginning August 1, Troy Schmidt is serving as Interim Director of MSUM Counseling Services. In this role, Troy will provide leadership for Counseling Services and help ensure students continue to have access to mental health support, wellness education, and case management services.

MSUM is also continuing its partnership with Sollera, formerly the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, to provide confidential support for students who have experienced sexual violence or intimate partner violence. Sollera therapists will be available on campus for appointments on Monday mornings and Thursday afternoons throughout the academic year.

Troy will serve as Interim Director while the university conducts a search for a full-time Director of Counseling Services in the coming months. During this time, he will also continue serving as Assistant Dean of Students.
