Former Dragons QB Strand Dominates in NFL Preseason, Earns National Attention
Former Minnesota State Moorhead and current Atlanta Falcons quarterback Jack Strand is building an impressive highlight reel at the pro level after a second strong showing in the 2026 NFL preseason. On Saturday, Strand tallied one touchdown through the air to pair with an athletic 16-yard rushing touchdown in a decisive preseason victory over the Indianapolis Colts. The rookie signal caller completed an impressive 12 of 17 attempts with impressive ball security.
Strand is competing for a roster spot in an experienced Falcons QB room, but has so far outperformed his teammates. The former Dragon has made a strong case to earn his spot on the 53 man roster. Strand finished his collegiate career with a colossal 13,161 passing yards and 126 touchdowns over 42 games.
