AI in Education training events planned for August

Educators, administrators, innovators, and community leaders from PK-12 and higher education, including MSUM faculty and staff, are invited to join the Institute of Applied AI for a dynamic one-day summit Thursday, Aug. 6, at the MSUM Alumni Center exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming teaching, learning, and workforce preparation across K–12 and higher education.

AI Spark: Education in the Age of AI will address pedagogical approaches to AI education with hands-on practical training. Breakout sessions will cover topics such as AI literacy, AI agentic architecture, and ethical AI integration. Presenters from MSUM, Bloomington Public Schools, AI4MN, and regional education partners will share insights and proven approaches to support educators at every stage of AI adoption.

The cost of the training is $125, but MSUM faculty and staff can attend this training for only $25 with the code DRAGONS, exclusively for campus employees.

Event Highlights: 

The Institute is also hosting a training event for Moorhead Area Public Schools Employees on Wednesday, Aug. 5, that will feature conversation with Bloomington Public Schools.
