MSUM Percussion Ensemble to Perform in Crookston for Arts Residency
The MSUM Percussion Ensemble will perform at Crookston High School on Thursday, April 23rd at 2pm. Their performance is part of residency between Dr. Kenyon Williams, MSUM Professor of Percussion, and students at Highland Elementary School in Crookston supported by a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. MSUM students will perform and then share the stage with students from Highland Elementary, as they demonstrate traditional West African drumming, dancing, and songs that they have learned under Dr. Williams’ guidance over the course of the past several weeks.
