Distinguished alum and longtime professor recognized for career in fluency disorders
While teaching for nearly 40 years at Moorhead, Bruce Hanson (’75) helped grow Speech-Language Hearing Sciences programs, expanded hands-on clinical experiences for students, became one of the nation’s first Board-Certified Specialists in Fluency Disorders, and gave back to his community through private practice and volunteer service.
His extraordinary legacy is being recognized today with the MSUM Foundation 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award.
