Upcoming Update to Report Access – Minimal Impact for Users
On March 23, our university will transition our reporting system (SSRS, also known as “MSUM Reports”) to a new server environment. This update is required because the operating system supporting the current server is reaching its end‑of‑life this summer.
What does this mean for you?
For most employees, nothing will change about how you access these reports. The same report URL will continue to work, and your access will remain the same. The only noticeable difference may be some design elements (e.g., color theme) and slight updates to the names of some report folders, as we simplify the naming structure.
Behind the scenes:

Reports are being moved to a newer, more flexible environment that supports both traditional SSRS reports and other reporting used at MSUM.
This will allow teams to modernize reports at their own pace.
The migration of recently used reports has already been completed.
Need help after March 23?
A job aid will be available for anyone who has trouble signing in after the transition. Please reach out to the Office of Analytics and Institutional Research (datareq@mnstate.edu) if you encounter any issues navigating the reports.
