International Graduates and Diverse Domestic Graduates are Invited to Register for the Farewell & Sash Ceremony
Graduating international students, exchange students, and domestic students who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color and/or LGBTQIA2S+ are invited to attend the Farewell & Sash Ceremony on Friday, May 8th at 9:30 AM in the CMU Ballroom. This very special ceremony will include a presentation of sashes celebrating each recipient’s culture and identity. Graduates are encouraged to wear their sashes at commencement that afternoon.
Beverages and a light brunch will be served following the ceremony, and graduates may invite up to ten guests to celebrate with them.
Students who plan to participate in the Farewell & Sash Ceremony are asked to complete the Registration Form by April 10, 2026, so that their sash may be ordered in time for the event.
