ASC Tutoring and University Writing Support Center to Merge
We are pleased to share that beginning in Fall 2026, the University Writing Support Center and the ASC Tutoring Center will merge into a single, unified academic support program. By bringing these two essential centers under the leadership of one coordinator, we are fostering a cohesive environment that simplifies the support structure for our students. This transition is designed to foster deeper departmental collaboration across campus and ensure our tutoring and writing support services remain closely aligned with faculty goals and student needs.
This new structure will enhance our ability to provide consistent training across all peer tutors through a centralized program, ensuring excellent, aligned support across disciplines and efficient use of resources. Most importantly, this change is centered on maintaining and improving availability of support services for our students. By creating a clear, centralized destination for academic support, we are making it easier than ever for students to access the resources they need to succeed at MSUM.
