Is An English Degree Worth It?

Many people deliberate about the value of an English degree, but the outcomes are clear.

English graduates produce highly sought-after skills that prepare them for many fields, including journalism, counseling, business, and entertainment. Students practice disciplines such as storytelling, research, argumentation, and understanding diverse perspectives.

These skills also prepare students for graduate programs like law school, where 79% of English majors are accepted.

Moorhead is continuing to value and invest in our English programs. In the fall, English majors will study in state-of-the-art classrooms in the newly renovated Weld Hall.
