Dragon Choir & Percussion Ensemble perform on campus Feb. 10 and tour Central Minn. Feb. 12-13

Tuesday, Feb. 10 | 7:30 p.m. | Hansen Theatre

The Dragon Choir & Percussion Ensemble will present a concert titled “United in Rhythm and Song: Music for Choir and Percussion Ensemble” on Tuesday, February 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Hansen Theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for 13 and younger, and free for MSUM students. Get tickets at mnstate.edu/tickets.

The Dragon Choir, an auditioned group of vocalists, and the Percussion Ensemble were honorably selected to present this performance at the Minnesota Music Education Mid-Winter Conference, a highly competitive event. Unfortunately, the MMEA Conference was cancelled due to unrest in Minneapolis. However, the group will instead tour central Minnesota Feb. 12-13, including a performance at the historic Batcher Block Opera House in Staples, Minn.

Thursday, Feb. 12 | 7:30 p.m. | Historic Batcher Block Opera House, Staples, Minn.
Friday, Feb 13 | 8:30-10 a.m. | St. Cloud Tech High School, St. Cloud, Minn.
Friday, Feb 13 | 1:30-3 p.m. | Alexandria High School, Alexandria, Minn.

Dr. Kenyon Williams, Moorhead professor of percussion and principal percussionist with the FM Symphony, directs the Percussion Ensemble. Choirs are conducted by Michael Johnson, Moorhead director of choral activities and vocal music education.
