Our Friday STEMinar continues Friday February 13 when Dr. Marissa Ahlering, Director of Science, MN, ND, SD, The Nature Conservancy will speak on “Using Science to Advance Climate and Biodiversity Conservation in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota”. The STEMinar meets Fridays 3-4pm in Library 103 with refreshments at 2:30 in the Library Porch. A description of Dr. Ahlering’s talk:

“The Nature Conservancy is a science-based international conservation non-profit focused on conserving the lands and waters on which all life depends, and addressing the global climate and biodiversity crises are at the forefront of what we do. I will share a subset of the science we do here locally in the tri-state area to advance freshwater, forest, and grassland conservation. Our science focuses on actions that both sequester more carbon as well as provide habitat and climate adaptation benefits for plants and animals in the region.”
