DECA Dragons Dominate Again
The Minnesota State Moorhead Collegiate DECA team delivered a strong performance at the state competition on February 19–20, maintaining the program’s history of competitive excellence. Major highlights include:
- 22 Dragons competed
- The team secured 40 finalist placements across 17 different categories
- 20 total top-three finishes, including:
- 7 First-Place finishes
- 7 Second-Place finishes
- 6 Third-Place finishes
- Dragons took every podium spot in both the Financial Accounting and Hotel & Lodging categories
Building on this regional success, each of the team’s competitors have qualified for the Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC). The competition will take place this April in Louisville, Kentucky, where the Dragons will compete against top programs from across the country.
This year’s results are a continuation of a legacy of success. In 2024, the team made headlines by going “20 for 20,” with every single competitor placing in the top three of their events. In 2025, two dozen Dragons punched their tickets to the international competition.
