Comets, Saturn, Stars and the Moon: Free observing Friday

Come on out to the Regional Science Center for an evening under the stars, Fri, Oct 24, 7 p.m. The Regional Science Center will be open to keep folks warm, and we will do our best to have some hands-on activities for kids of all ages. The event is being run by the MSUM student Astronomy Club, the MSUM Planetarium and the FM Astronomy Club.

There is lots of good stuff to see:
Two relatively bright comets, C/2025 A6 Lemmon and C/2025 R2 SWAN, that will be visible through October. Neither is visible to the naked eye but both will be easily visible in binoculars and telescopes.
There also happen to be a couple meteor showers that will be ending around this time.
The crescent moon will be visible at the beginning of the night.
Saturn is up too!
