Mini grant funds available through Title III – professional development and idea/project support for engaged learning

As part of Minnesota State Moorhead’s Title III SIP project, funded by the Department of Education, mini grant funding is available in two focus areas to support engaged (experiential and active) learning:

Professional development – great for PDP’s –

    1. to build skills and confidence in experiential and/or active learning. Two online courses are ready for you to select, or pursue a learning opportunity you design. (note: mini grants cannot support direct travel costs, but can support other connections to learning such as conference fees and online learning opportunities)


Idea/project funding

    for experiential or active learning that impacts student learning in or out of the classroom. Mini grants will support ideas, initiatives, and resources to integrate active learning, experiential learning, career exploration, and career readiness.

Timeline: Applications will be open, and funding is planned to be awarded, each semester through spring semester 2029. Funding totals vary by semester pending availability.

Fall deadline: Fall 2025 funding application deadline is Friday 9/19/2025
