MOORHEAD — He’s part professor, part performer.

Whether it slithers, swims or squawks, Jon Bell-Clement is all in.

By day, he teaches zoology and biology classes at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

But online, he’s “Jon BC” — blending his lifelong love of animals with spot-on impressions to make science anything but boring.

From “SpongeBob” to” Scooby-Doo,” he’s using humor and heart to get people curious about the creatures with which we share the planet.

Bell-Clement has always been into critters. Creepy, crawly or otherwise. He teaches zoology and biology courses at MSUM, inspired in part by life in Lakes Country.

“If it’s an animal, I’m interested, from the big, the small, flying, aquatic, land, terrestrial parasite, creepy crawly, cutesy. If it’s an animal, I want to hear about it, I want to know about it,” Bell-Clement said.
