Nancy Stock Selected to Attend Grant-Funded ELNEC Conference
Nancy Stock, Associate Professor in the School of Nursing & Healthcare Leadership, was selected to attend the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) Faculty Workshop, a grant-sponsored conference in Portland, Oregon, on July 24-25. The competitive application process was open to undergraduate and graduate faculty who teach palliative/hospice courses at their home institutions. With an aging population living longer with multiple, co-existing chronic health problems, there is a huge need for nursing and other healthcare students to be educated about palliative and hospice care. Nancy has been instrumental in teaching the ELNEC curriculum to students at Moorhead. She has recently expanded her NURS 452/552 End of Life Care course for graduate students from a variety of interprofessional disciplines such as nursing and social work.
