Student and alum create animation for school play

When Minnesota State Moorhead animation graduate Katie Muggli and current animation student Nicole Shoutz were offered the opportunity to create a projection animation for a Liberty Middle school play, they were surprised and excited to tackle the project. Using the skills they learned at Moorhead, they created something special.

At MSUM, Katie and Nicole worked with different design software like Premiere Pro and After Effects, which they used to create their animation for the play. Nicole says, “MSUM also taught me how to do animation while working with a team rather than just relying on myself, so they prepared me for this collaborative situation.”

The two also worked closely with play director, Cody Rowe, who originally asked professor Fogarty for assistance in finding animation students.
