MSUM Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Graduate Students participate in Interprofessional Education (IPE) event at Sanford Health
MSUM’s Speech Language pathology (SLP) graduate students participated in an Interprofessional Education (IPE) event on March 28, 2025, at the University of Jamestown (UJ) Fargo campus. They were joined by students from the University of Mary’s Occupational Therapy program, the University of Jamestown’s Physical Therapy program, and Sanford Health therapists. MSUM SLP faculty Jennifer Wollan and Rachel Stotts, along with Dr. Kevin Anderson and Dr Janeene Silba (U of Mary) and Dr. Deena Calier and Dr. Sara Voorhees (UJ), collaborated with 12 Sanford therapists to observe, evaluate, and plan for four patients currently being seen by the Sanford teams. The event was made possible by the support of Sanford Health, which provided patients and a meal for the 71 students, 12 Sanford therapists, six faculty members, and two Sanford recruiters. The team gathered for an afternoon of education, collaboration, and fun. Sanford and their talent acquisition team presented the involved faculty with their inaugural Innovated Educator Award for creating an innovative space for students to learn.
