MSUM Percussion Ensemble Performs in Crookston
Dr. Kenyon Williams completed a four-week residency at Crookston’s Highland Elementary School under the auspices of a Minnesota Regional Arts Grant teaching West African drumming and dance to 5th graders at the school. He was joined for the grand finale concert by members of the MSUM Percussion Ensemble, who performed side-by-side with the elementary students. The students engaged enthusiastically with the MSUM musicians in their joint grand finale concert to the climax the residency.
