Dr. Megan Johnson Presents on Adapted Physical Education at SHAPE America National Convention in Baltimore
Dr. Megan Johnson recently co-presented two sessions at the SHAPE America National Convention in Baltimore, Maryland, focusing on inclusive practices in Adapted Physical Education. The first presentation, titled “Empowering Future Educators: Supporting Preservice Teachers in Inclusive Physical Education,” was delivered as part of the Higher Education Professional Preparation Summit and addressed strategies for preparing preservice teachers to support students with disabilities in physical education settings effectively. The second session, “50 Adapted PE Hacks in 50 Minutes,” offered practical tools and evidence-based approaches to enhance inclusive instruction in Adapted Physical Education. Both presentations reflected Dr. Johnson’s ongoing dedication to promoting inclusive teaching and supporting the professional development of future educators.
