Becky Boyle Jones presents at National Association for Campus Activities conference

Becky Boyle Jones recently co-presented two sessions at the National Association of Campus Activities Conference in St. Paul. The first presentation, titled “Creating Moments,” explored concepts discussed in Dan and Chip Heath’s book, “The Power of Moments” and how they can be applied to campus events. The second session, “Stepping in as a New Advisor” offered practical tools to new supervisors and advisors of collegiate programming boards. The importance of understanding organizational culture, strategic change and the development of relationships were addressed in the presentation. Both presentations highlight that the campus engagement profession is rooted in student development theory and has a significant impact on connection and sense of belonging.
