MSUM Foundation announces two new board members
The Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) Foundation proudly welcomes two new members to its Board of Directors. Directors serve for a three-year term, limited to two consecutive full terms.
Jay Nibbe is a retired global vice chair-markets at Ernst & Young (EY), bringing extensive global business leadership and a deep commitment to the university’s mission.

“Jay’s vast experience in global markets, his passion for education, and his long-standing generosity to MSUM make him an exceptional addition to our board,” said Gary Haugo, executive director of the MSUM Foundation. “We are thrilled to welcome him as we continue to grow and enhance opportunities for students and the university.”
Nibbe, a 1985 graduate of MSUM with a degree in accounting and finance, has had a remarkable career at EY, where he led the organization’s global go-to-market approach, overseeing client service across all EY industries, solutions, and partnerships. Previously, he served as EY global vice chair-tax, managing a division with annual revenues exceeding $8.9 billion and a workforce of more than 50,000 professionals worldwide. His international expertise includes leadership roles in Minneapolis, Moscow, New York and London.
Nibbe served on the MSUM Alumni Board from 2008-10 and is currently a Paseka School of Business Executive Council member. He has been recognized with the MSUM Distinguished Alumni Award and was named Accounting Alumnus of the Year in 2008.
“I am honored to serve on the MSUM Foundation Board and give back to a university that played a pivotal role in my personal and professional journey,” Nibbe said. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members to advance MSUM’s mission and support the next generation of students.”
The secondary assistant superintendent at West Fargo Public Schools, Vincent Williams has an extensive background in educational leadership and a deep connection to MSUM, bringing valuable experience and insight to the board.

“Vincent’s dedication to education and his commitment to fostering student success make him a tremendous asset to our board,” said Gary Haugo, executive director of the MSUM Foundation. “His leadership in K-12 education will provide valuable perspective as we continue to support the university’s mission.”
Williams began his career in education as a high school social studies teacher at Fargo North High School in 2004. He has served as the assistant principal intern at Kennedy Elementary School in Fargo, assistant principal intern at Fargo’s Lincoln Elementary School, assistant principal and English learner coordinator at Woodrow Wilson High School in Fargo, principal at Fargo’s Discovery Middle School , and principal at Sheyenne High School before joining the district office in 2021.
Williams holds a specialist degree in educational leadership from North Dakota State University, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from MSUM, and a bachelor’s degree in social studies from MSUM.
“I am honored to join the MSUM Foundation Board and contribute to an institution that has played such a significant role in my career and personal growth,” Williams said. “I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members to support students and advance MSUM’s mission.”
