Screening of “Faint” by assistant professor of film, Ryan Clancy, on Nov. 15
View three short films at “Every Soul Submit”, a film screening event at MSU Moorhead at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15 in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Hansen Theatre. These films explore the topics of policing, surveillance, and authority in America.
Films to be shown include Eyes by Stan Brakhage, In Order Not to Be Here by Deborah Stratman, and Faint by Ryan Clancy. Following the films, there will be a Q&A with the director and producer of Faint.
Ryan Clancy is a filmmaker, educator, and programmer. His current practice explores themes related to addiction and attempts to identify symbiotic relationships between internal experiences and the outside world. He has exhibited work at various cinemas, festivals, and galleries throughout the world, including the Ann Arbor Film Festival, Bauhaus Museum-Dessau, the Detroit Institute of Arts, Maysles Documentary Center, Prismatic Ground, and the Winnipeg Underground Film Festival. His work has been written about in Architecture Daily, Hyperallergic, and Screen Slate. He received his MFA in Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
