Library SLO Assessment Underway
The library is designing a new assessment plan focused on three (of six) learning outcomes aligned with LASC Goal 11: Information Literacy. We kindly request that faculty report and share descriptions of which classes they are teaching any of three topics: 1) credible sources, 2) plagiarism & attribution, and 3) discipline-related authority. Please also respond if you are teaching these topics in any non-LASC courses, including graduate courses. If you are not teaching and/or assessing any of these topics, please also respond.
This information will allow the library department to establish a baseline of information literacy skills being taught and/or assessed within LASC courses. This provides the library department with information to prioritize areas of need, identify potential barriers, and propose instructional approaches.
Note: Survey results are only used to help the library department develop targeted strategies for a new assessment plan.
This survey will close Monday, October 7. Thank you for considering this request.
