Men’s Rugby Earns Top Finish at Regional Tournament
The men’s rugby club earned first place over the weekend at the regional SNAFU tournament hosted in Fargo.
The squad continued a dominant spring season run, blowing out BSU before defeating UND by multiple scores on its path to a championship showdown with SDSU.
The club claimed victory on the final play of the championship match, pushing a game-wining try across the line to defeat a tough SDSU squad, 17-12.
The teams’s final test of the spring season begins this coming weekend, as they travel to Rhode Island for the Beast of the East Tournament to challenge 15 elite East Coast teams.
