Computer-based Workday training is now available
If your training plan includes instructor-led or virtual instructor-led courses, you must complete your computer-based courses no later than April 28.
All employees can begin theirWorkday Training courses now by logging in to the Enterprise Learning Management(ELM) system. Please see instructions below.
Accessing ELM – Log in to the State of Minnesota Employee Self Service portal. Select the Learning Management tile. Next, select the My Learning tile. Select the “Workday All Employees training program WD01 through WD05.”
As you learned in the March 11 and March 25 communications, all Minnesota State employees will need to complete training to prepare for the move to Workday in July. Please note: If you are a contracted employee or a concurrent enrollment instructor, you will receive separate communication on Workday training requirements; CE Directors and TMT leadership will also be notified.
What Training Will I Need to Complete in ELM? Workday Training is based on security roles. All Minnesota State employees have the Employee as Self security role, which is assigned the following computer-based training courses:
- WD01 Workday Core Concepts
- WD02 Workday Navigation and Features
- WD03 Finding Information in Workday
- WD04 Employee Self-Service: My Information in Workday
- WD05 Employee Self-Service: Managing Time and Absence in Workday
Note: estimated time to complete all courses listed above is 3 hours.
To support your training, Workday job aids and quick reference guides are now available on the Workday Training Connect page.
What About Training for Those with Security Roles Beyond Employee as Self? Based on your institutional roles and responsibilities, you may have other Workday security roles that require further training. The schedule of that additional training will be available on Friends of NextGen later this week. Please be on the lookout for Workday Training Communication #4 coming April 4 with details on how to find your complete training plan.
Important: If your training plan includes instructor-led or virtual instructor-led courses, you must complete your computer-based courses no later than April 28.
