Art Education students attend National Conference

The Art Education Student Organization applied for and received over $8,000 to cover travel and registration costs to attend the National Art Education Association annual convention held in Minneapolis, April 4th-6th. Twenty-eight undergraduate students were able to attend the conference, the world’s largest professional development opportunity for art teachers featuring over 600 sessions. MSUM’s contingent of 28 students was the nation’s largest university group of undergraduate attendees. Students also got to attend the MSUM Foundation and School of Art Alumni Social. Over 70 alumni, students, and friends RSVP’ed for the event with Dean Kyja Kristjanssen-Nelson and President Downs as featured guests.
