Stars of PBS will bring 400+ community members to the Planetarium

Saturday, Feb 3 the MSUM Planetarium will host its 8th Annual Stars of PBS.  This event is a collaboration with Prairie Public and has historically hosted upwards of 500 people on campus throughout the day.  This year, we are especially excited to be celebrating Elmo’s birthday, which is the same day!

This event is FREE and open to the public.  The planetarium show, One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure, shows every 45 minutes.  In the Center for Business, there are a multitude of activities for families to enjoy.

Highlights:

    • Come see Clifford the Big Red Dog in person!!  He will be there all day to say hi and take photos.
    • It’s Elmo’s birthday!  Come make him a birthday card to let him know you are thinking of him!
    • MSUM’s own Math Club, Astronomy Club, Society of Physics Students, Oceanarium, Early Education Center, and College for Kids will all have fun games and activities to check out!
    • Community partners who will have activities of their own will include:

      • Red River Zoomobile
      • Fargo Moorhead Science Museum
      • Kid Co
      • Nexus PATH
      • Fargo Library
    • ND Gateway to Science Museum

And of course, Prairie Public will be there with activities and lots of free resources for families and fun things to take home!

You do not want to miss out! This event is a family friendly event for all ages, but is geared towards families with children around the prek-K age.
