MSUAASF Update to Meal Reimbursements
Please see the updated information below we have received regarding MSUAASF meal rates for Employee Expense Reimbursements:
The system office recently executed an MOA (Memorandum of Agreement) with MSUAASF that affects implementation of the new meal reimbursement rates for university faculty when meals are paid for with professional development (PD) and improvement funds (PIF), as provided in Article 15.
Meals reimbursed with PD or PIF funds will be reimbursed at 1.25 times the meal reimbursement rates provided in the 2023-2025 AFSCME Agreement, until such time as the 2023-2025 Managerial Plan receives legislative approval.
Any covered expenditure start dates of 11/13/23 or after will use the AFSCME meal rates until the Managerial Plan goes into effect. Please also see the updated metro areas list via the IRS link below.
Current AFSCME rates at 1.25 to be used with PD or PIF funds:
Breakfast – $13.75
Lunch – $16.25
Dinner – $23.75
