Brad Bachmeier inducted to Hall of Fame
Current Chair of the School of Art, Brad Bachmeier will be inducted into the Fargo North High School Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 23. Mr. Bachmeier taught at Fargo North from 2001-2008. He will be honored for his impact on students and accomplishments during his tenure at the school. Bachmeier initiated several firsts for North Dakota in Visual Arts Curriculum, including the first A.P. courses, the first National Art Honor Society and the first functioning Art Gallery/Museum in a high school.
Fargo North captured 4 consecutive State Championships in the Visual Arts during his tenure. While chairing the Art Department and serving on the District’s Curriculum Council, Mr. Bachmeier completed his MFA degree in ceramics, became one of 19 brick sculptors in the country, received Fargo North’s Teacher of the Year, and was recognized with the State’s highest honor in the Arts, the Bi-Annual Governor’s Award.
