Dr. Jitendra Singh recognized for national & international presentations
Dr. Jitendra Singh, professor and co-chair of the School of Nursing & Healthcare Leadership is recognized for upcoming national and international presentations.
Dr. Singh will be presenting a research project “Online, Hybrid, and Face-to-Face Learning Through the Eyes of Faculty, Students, Administrators, & Instructional Designers” at the United States Distance Learning Association Conference in Orlando Florida. Co-authors include – Dr. Amber Reed, Ms. Lovely Singh, Dr. Erica Evans, Dr. Lisa Karch, Ms. Karen Qualey, and Ms. Hannah Wiersma. This exploratory study built upon the expertise of a panel of faculty, administrators, students, and instructional designers (IDs) who lived through the pandemic and dealt with the associated challenges firsthand. These participants provided insight on how to establish systems that would create successful online teaching and learning opportunities in the post-vaccine and post-pandemic world.
Dr. Singh will also present his research/global study entitled “COVID-19 Pandemic through the eyes of Faculty and Lean practitioners Across the Globe – A Qualitative Study” at Lean in Higher Education conference in San Diego, CA. Dr. Singh led a team of 18 faculty members and Lean/Quality improvement practitioners across the globe. This is the first global study that examines academia’s response to pandemic through a Lean lens. The team represented participants from 6 continents and 18 universities.
In addition, Dr. Singh’s collaborative project with the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Manitoba got accepted for presentation at North America Primary Care Research Group Conference. Title of the presentation is “Team Leadership for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice in Primary Care: A scoping review”. Dr. Singh completed this project in collaboration with researchers and scholars at the University of Manitoba.
