Leadership and Learning faculty member Caitlin Johnson attended and presented at the Native American Student Advocacy Institute June 8–9, 2023 in San Diego, CA.

Dr. Johnson (Dr. J.) presented a session “Supporting Multi-Ethnic Indigenous Students & Why it Matters” describing the results from a qualitative study of perceptions indigenous educators using multicultural/multi-ethnic strategies to support students, promotion of cultural pluralism, and how the use of multi-ethnic teaching strategies are culturally sustaining for both practitioners and students and enhance learning.
