Wind and Percussion Ensembles in concert April 18

Celebrate spring with “The Four Seasons,” featuring Minnesota State University Moorhead Wind and Percussion Ensembles, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18 in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Hansen Theatre.

Percussion Ensemble

The Percussion Ensemble will be joined by guest artist and MSUM music alumnus Matthew Tinjum and will perform works by Blake Tyson, Lane Harder and Giovanni Santos. 

Music alumnus Matthew Tinjum

Matthew Tinjum has played with artists such as Kris Kristofferson, rock violinist Mark Wood, the national touring group 32 Below, and the national touring vocal group The Diamonds. At MSUM, he played for the Straw Hat Players, the jazz combos, commercial ensemble, jazz ensemble, guitar ensemble, percussion ensemble and symphony orchestra. He currently tours with singer, songwriter, recording artist and guitarist Dan Brekke and has been teaching drums and percussion publicly and privately for eight years. 

The Wind Ensemble will present a program taking the audience through the four seasons, including Spring: The Hounds of Spring, Summer: Overture for Winds, Autumn: Mischief, Magic, Mayhem and Winter: Polar Vortex, among others.
