MSUM Students Attend National Business Economics Conference in Washington D.C.

MSUM students Erin Summerbell, Isabel Olson, Ansel Anderson, McKenzie Prochnow, Claire Stoltenow, Alex Bauer, Jaden Oestern and Crystal Teetz attended the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) Annual Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. from March 28-30.

The conference, “Orienting Policy for a Polarized World,” included presentations by Janet Yellen, Secretary, U.S. Department of the Treasury, Isabel Schnabel, Member of the Executive Board, European Central Bank, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General, World Trade Organization, Susan M. Collins, President and CEO, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and other thought leaders representing private industry, government, and academia. MSUM students met with employers to learn about emerging career opportunities in business economics and public policy. The Economic Society student organization, which organized the experience, appreciates the financial support received from the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee and MSUM Economics program alumni.
