Enrollment Update – Scholarships & Financial Aid

This is the fourth year of using the common application since it was implemented in Fall 2019, and there has been a steady increase in the percent of students completing the application since its inception.

In addition, a review of the recent overhaul of the Automatic Scholarships awarded at the time of admission through the work or the Strategic Enrollment Management Scholarship Review Subcommittee indicates that the number of new entering first year students receiving scholarships increased from 40% in 2019 to 71% in 2022, and large gains were made for the number of students receiving scholarships within our Equity 2030 goals, including scholarships awarded to new entering students of color from 3% to 11%, first generation students from 13% to 26%, and Pell-eligible students from 10% to 19%.
