New Rivers Press Readings
New Rivers Press, in conjunction with the Sands/McGrath Visiting Writer Series and the Glasrud Lecture and Reading Series, will hold events in celebration of the publication of their newest anthology of essays and poetry, Unbound: Composing Home, collected and edited by Nayt Rundquist. The collection features twenty-one authors from across the country and Bermuda, all reflecting on the concept of home and its polyvalent meanings.
The events:
Thursday, December 1 | 5:30–7:30: The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum
The authors will read from the collection. Copies of the anthology and the authors’ other titles will be available for purchase. Appetizers will be available.
Friday, December 2 | 7:30–9:30: MSUM Roland Dille Center for the Arts
The authors will join the College of Arts and Humanities Winter Celebration of the Arts. Readings will be interspersed with musical performances and film screenings. Books will be available for purchase. Food and drink will be available.
Saturday, December 3 | 12:00–1:00: Zandbroz Variety
Some of the authors will be signing copies of the anthology and their own publications with New Rivers Press. Books will be available for purchase through Zandbroz.
Saturday, December 3 | 4:00–6:00: Zandbroz Variety
Authors will be reading from and signing copies of the anthology. Books will be available for purchase through Zandbroz.
All events are open to the public. Those on Thursday and Saturday are free; there is a $10 ticket cost for the Winter Celebration on Friday.
Masks are strongly encouraged.
