Visiting Scholar and Author Anton Treuer to speak at MSUM Oct. 25 and Oct. 26
Anton Treuer (pronounced troy-er), professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University, will be presenting at MSUM on Tuesday, October 25, and Wednesday, October 26 as the College of Education and Human Services visiting scholar.
Treuer is the author of many books including “Everything You Wanted to Know About Indians But Were Afraid to Ask” and “The Assassination Of Hole In The Day.” His equity, education, and cultural work has put him on a path of service around the nation and the world.
His first presentation, titled “Everything You Wanted to Know About Indians But Were Afraid to Ask”, will be in the Glasrud Auditorium from 5:30 to 7 pm. This presentation is also available on Zoom: https://minnstate.zoom.us/j/96805589615.
His second presentation, titled “Gates & Gaps: Addressing Racial Disparities in America”, will be in the CMU Ballroom from 9 am to 12 pm.
