MSUM is participating in the nomination and submission process for the MinnState Board of Trustees Awards for Excellence for Teaching Faculty – Educator of the Year. Per the announcement, these awards acknowledge and provide system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement of our college and university faculty. Faculty who have served 3 years in the MinnState system are eligible. Anyone at MSUM can nominate a faculty member.

When considering nominating a faculty member, look over the rubric here: https://mnscu.sharepoint.com/sites/asa/Resources/BOT%20Teaching%20Rubric.pdf  (Requires Star ID and password to have access to the ASA Connect Sharepoint).  The nomination form or letter should address the individual’s excellent performance in the following categories: Standards for Assessment of Student Learning & Performance; Culturally Responsive Teaching and Pedagogy; Innovative Teaching Strategies and Materials; Service to Students, Profession, Institution, and System to Advance Teaching Excellence; and Content Expertise and Professional Growth.
