Karen Joan Kohoutek Published Essay in Anthology

Karen Joan Kohoutek has published an essay in the anthology Black Panther and Philosophy: What Can Wakanda Offer the World?, from The Blackwell Philosophy and Pop Culture Series. The essay, “’It’s Time They Knew the Truth About Us! We’re Warriors!’: Black Panther and the Black Panther Party,” deals with ways the themes of the Marvel film reflect the concerns of the Black liberation group. Kohoutek is a technician at the Livingston Lord Library, and is a graduate of MSUM’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program.
