Campus Race to Zero Waste – 10 Tons!
Recycling competition: After 6 weeks of competition, MSUM has recycled 19,779 lbs, meaning we have diverted almost 10 tons of waste from going to landfills!
Currently, we are ranked 61 out of 95 schools, with an average of 3.539 lbs of waste recycled per person.
Let’s push this last week, and try to pass 5 lbs per person!
To participate, place clean materials in any bin on campus. Accepted materials include: plastic bottles, containers, jugs; plastic cups; cans; cardboard; office paper; and glass.
