Alex Kuraev is a finalist for the Assistant Director of International Recruitment and Enrollment position. His interview day, March 28, will include an open forum at 1 pm. The open forum is listed below with Zoom link. There is also an opportunity for you to provide feedback via the “submit feedback” link below. We greatly appreciate your participation in the search process. I want to thank the search committee members, Siwei Zhu, Linda Tegtmeier, Marsha Wichmann and Fumi Cheever for their important service to the University.
The 50-minute Open forum will consist of a 20 minute presentation on the following questions and a Q and A with the candidate with the following topics:
- International Students’ questions:
- What are cultural differences, challenges and barriers that you’ve observed that international students face in American universities? How do you educate and provide other support to address these?
- Briefly explain your experience with immigration work as it relates to international students.
- Other questions:
- One of the University’s goals is to increase enrollment. How do you see your role contributing to this goal as the Assistant Director of International Recruitment and Enrollment?
- Where do you see your recruitment and support of international students taking the University in the next five years?
